• الملخص (باللغة العربية): يتناول البحث بعض المدن والأماكن الحضرمية التي ذكرتها النقوش الحميرية باعتبارها خضعت للحكم الحميري بعد صراع طويل، حيث تعرضت حضرموت لاجتياحات متواصلة أضرت ببنيتها الاقتصادية. استهدف البحث إيضاح الدور الذي أدته هذه المدن في وحدة وتكاتف شعوبها لرفض التبعية الحميرية. وخلص البحث إلى أن الحضارمة لم يستسلموا للأمر الواقع، بل كانوا في ثورات مستمرة، مما دفع الحميريين لإرسال حملات عسكرية متتابعة لإخضاعها طوال فترة حكمهم.

• الملخص (باللغة الإنجليزية): This paper deals with the cities of Hadramout that were mentioned in the Himyaritic inscriptions as being subject to the Himyarite kingdom at the end of the third century and remained in persistent revolutions to obtain freedom and independence as the ancient ruins and the discovered inscriptions revealed. This paper aims at clarifying the role played by those cities in uniting the people to reject the dependence on Himyarites and to disobey their government since Hadramout was subjugated and its cities were annexed by the central government in Zafar. The paper concluded that the people in those cities in Hadramout which were mentioned in the inscriptions did not surrender to reality and submit to the power of the Himyarites, but they revolted persistently.
