الملخص:      

استهدفت الدراسة التعرف على دور المشاريع الصغيرة في تمكين المرأة اقتصاديًا من وجهة نظر النساء اللواتي يمتلكن مشاريع صغيرة نسائية خاصة بهن في مدينة المكلا. واستخدمت الباحثة في هذه الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي مع منهج المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة، والاستعانة باستخدام أداة الاستبيان لجمع البيانات وتطبيقها على عينة من النساء صاحبات المشاريع الصغيرة ، ومن أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة أن أكثر فئة عمرية تعمل في المشاريع الصغيرة هنَّ من النساء اللواتي يبلغن من العمر (35-39) ، غالب المشاريع ملكية خاصة ، تنوعت المشاريع بين خياطة الملابس – صناعة الحلويات – تجميل النساء ، أما اهم الأسباب فهي التخفيف من فقر النساء وإعالتها للأسرة نتيجة لغلاء المعيشة و انتشار البطالة بين النساء ، كما ساعدت المؤسسات على التدريب في بناء وتحسين المهارات والقدرات الحياتية للنساء وتحسينها إضافة الى إعطاء بعض القروض ، اما اهم المعوقات فكانت العادات والتقاليد داخل المجتمع مما يجعل كثيرًا من الأسر ترفض عمل المرأة ، وصعوبات عند التسويق للمشروع في كيفية التعامل مع الرجال ، أما الآثار فقد أسهم المشروع في تحسين مكانة المرأة الاقتصادية الاجتماعية ، وحقق زيادة في دخل الأسرة. ومكَّن الدخل المشروع من توفير خدمات تعليمية أفضل لأفراد الأسرة .

The study aimed to identify the role of small projects in empowering women economically from the point of view of women who own small projects in Mukalla city. In this study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach along with the social survey method. A questionnaire was used to collect data and was distributed among a sample of women who own small projects. One of the most important results indicated by the research is that the majority of women who are working in small projects are aged in between (35-39), in addition, most of the projects are privately owned, whereas the projects varied between tailoring – confectionery – cosmetics. As for the reasons behind this, the study revealed that it is to alleviate women’s poverty and to support their families as a result of the high cost of living and the spread of unemployment among women. Results also showed that training institutions helped in establishing and improving women’s life skills and capabilities, as well as providing some loans to them to launch their work. Moreover, the most important obstacles were the customs and traditions within society, which make many families reject women’s work, as well as difficulties in marketing the projects in addition to how to deal with men. As for the impact, the projects contributed to improving women’s economic and social statuses besides attaining an increase in family income.  The income from the projects enabled the provision of better educational services for family members.
